Miles ~ 18 Months old

So I am about a week late, but Miles turned 18 months on Sunday, August 4th!  This little guy is the funniest, the spunkiest and dare we see fiestiest 18 month old.  Don't look at him wrong or tell him No...he will "wack you" as Cole says, right on the head.  He is at the same time such a loving little thing.  He gives us all hugs and smooches all the time.  We all three just sit back and watch him sometimes and are still amazed he is here with us and just how darn smart and funny he is.

He has started saying more words and here is what he knows so far (Cole & I sat and wrote them all down today)...

"Is it poop?"  This comes from us always having to tell him to not touch bird poop outside, so now he asks us if something is poop.  Now if he would just ask before touching it.  :(
"Is it hot?" and "Is it On?"  This is his first phrase and definitely just about the topic of all days.
He also says...ball, bat, rock, book, bath, apple, more, wow, bite (when he wants something to eat), eyes, shoes, knees, ice, butter, banana, book, water (which is "wa"), Da (Dad), Ma (Mom) and Bubba.  He has added about 3 of these words this week.

We had his 18 month well visit on Wednesday, so here are his latest stats...
*22lbs 11oz. (28%)
*Height is 32 1/4 (41%)
*Head is 38%...he does have a little head
Dr. Rupp says he is doing great.  Love that I can talk to her about food and nutrition and she checks him out and off we go!  Such a different experience than we had with Cole and his pediatrician at this age. Makes me so grateful to have them both with Dr. Rupp.  She is just awesome!!

We are officially no longer pumping, nursing, etc.  He pretty much weaned himself around 13-14 months but I kept pumping, really just for nutrition and because I am scared of cow's milk for him.  He likes almond milk and we are going this route with him for now.  Hoping to get him into raw milk more as he gets closer to 2 years old.

He loves to brush his own teeth (hates us to brush them).  He has a whole system to getting his toothbrush.  He opens the top drawer, then crawls up on the stool and leans in to get his brush out.
We sometimes mess with him and close the drawer and he gets down, opens it just the right amount and climbs back up.  So funny to watch!
