Easter and Atlanta 2013

We had such a great Easter weekend in Atlanta with most of our family.  I was going back and forth for a few weeks prior about even making the trip.  Miles still was getting up in the middle of the night on occasion.  I just did not want to have to worry about him waking up a household of people every night.  In the end, we had made these plans months ago and it was just my family after all...we decided to make the trip.  We are so glad we did.  We all enjoyed it so much.  The boys were great on the drive there the Saturday before Easter. We got into Atlanta about 3pm and spent the afternoon outside in sunny 70 degree weather at Julie and Paul's AWESOME new house.  They made dinner for us every night...so nice.  I really felt like I was on vacation.  We went to a satellite church of Andy Stanley's on Easter morning with everyone (Mom & Terry, Dad & Linda, etc.)  What a great speaker he is and a great message.  Spent the rest of the day with lunch then naps for the kids and then Mom, Julie and I heading off to the outlet mall that is 5 minutes from Julie's house.  Dangerous!! Who can resist a Coach purse at 65% off!  We finished the day celebrating Khloe's 3rd Birthday (early since it is really on April 12th) with presents and cake.  Then Monday morning we went to Lego land, which the kids loved and then to a park to play, eat our packed lunch and meet up with Chad's good friend Mike Plumber.

The boys were really good and enjoyed the change of pace too. Miles spend most of his time in Khloe's play kitchen. Something he loves here at home too, but hers was much bigger and had way more items to "taste test". It just made me remember that it is important no matter how much work it may be with little ones, to get out of our routine and travel and live a little. We all needed it!  Chad had the rest of the week off when we got home on Tuesday afternoon. The boys actually slept from like 9pm to close to 9am a few days in a row...we definitely embraced the Spring Break week.  Miles did get up each night while we were there, but with a few sips of water, hugs and some rocking he went right back to sleep.  Thank goodness he has resumed sleeping through the night again since we have gotten home.  Only took this kid 13+ months to sleep through the night.  We survived, just barely!

The pictures from the trip are not the best quality, since we forgot our camera and had to rely on our iPhone's, but they still captured the memories.

Easter Morning and ready for the indoor egg hunt!

Loving on Grandma Linda on Cole's blowup mattress bed we set up in Khloe's room

What is not caught here is Khloe's booty shake as she asks Cole if he wants to hear a "girls song" aka Miley Cyrus, Party in the USA.  These two were so cute!

His reaction to seeing Baby Einstein!

Miles first time swinging at the park, he laughed and laughed...loved it!
