Halloween and Fall Fun

We had a fun Fall and a SUPER cold, rainy and windy Halloween...but it was still lots of fun!  We cut the candy collecting short and opted to stop and play inside at a neighbors who we were walking with.  So much warmer and the kids got to play.  The boys trade their candy in for money and they were okay with just having what they collected.  They loved dressing up and practiced a lot with their costumes leading up to Halloween so they go their use out of them.  Halloween is not my favorite with all the characters (witches, ghosts, spiders, etc.) and the candy that come along with it, but pumpkin carving and the excitement of dressing up is what makes it for the boys.  Watching their excitement is so fun!

We went to Stony Creek with Daddy's new company on the Friday before he started on Monday (10/27/14!)  So nice they invited us to their Chili Cook Off (our first private party there at night...FUN) and we got to go on a hayride through the woods at night.  Of course our tractor had some issues and had to be switched out in the middle of the woods about half way through, but there was about 20 of us together and we made it back safe.

 This last classroom picture was their Thanksgiving Feast.  Everyone brought in a vegetable for soup and they made cornbread.  They all loved the cornbread.

 My 'Thankful' Banner that I love this year and kept up instead of stockings at Christmas.  I could not take it down and then we did not have to worry about Miles pulling down the stockings and holders.  Everyone was safe and I got to keep my burlap banner up a little longer.  Yay!
